I enjoyed yesterday class, growing up as an ELL student, mostly all my teachers made it hard for me to understand vowels and all the meaning behind them. I struggled as a reader and writer for a very long time. I enjoyed how you connect the children, make it hands on and enjoyable, to the point where the children want t learn.

I also enjoyed class yesterday. The new class meeting space was great, it was a fun to go through teaching the lesson and all of the characters that go with it. Overall, the lesson was fun and helpful and searching these new websites and the powerpoint were also great resources to use in the future.

The different types of disabilities that have been characterized seem to be boundless. I love how Gina mentioned that she does not put a title on her classroom door b/c it would just be one other label the children would be associated with, as opposed to a place of learning and comfort.

Take away... put in the accommodations and it will benefit more than one- it will benefit ALL. Look at them less as more work, but as an investment in the learning of ALL children. Thank you so much Gina for showing us the reading program. I look forward to learning and getting more familiar with it.

I really enjoyed todays class and how interactive that it was with the reading lesson and the visuals that went along with it. I also liked looking through the different blogs to see what is out there for the public to look at and what people are putting our for public information. I think that looking at these blogs will give a lot of insightful information into the various issues surrounding special education.

It was helpful to break down the reading lesson as it would be presented in class, with visuals and various explanations to help students learn. I look forward to following one or more educational blogs. It is helpful to stay current on topics and ideas in the educational field, and I think that a blog can be a very useful resource. I am looking forward to writing goal #2 for Joe in our next class!

I feel as though I take for granted how automatic language comes to me. There are so many factors that come together perfectly for language, when one of the pieces of the puzzle are missing...that is such a challenge.

I feel like I have a disabilities that have not been addressed and I'm not sure how to go about getting help. I know I have some type of A.D.D. and anxiety. Si I can relate to students who suffer from these disabilities.

I really enjoyed looking online tonight and seeing what kind of educational blogs are out there for us as educators to use. I think that being up to date with the current literature that is being published on educationally related issues will help me as a teacher stay up to date on current issues in education.
